Bitcoin wallet addresses that are holding a massive amount of BTC have been increasing over recent time. According to the latest data shared by the behavior analytics platform Santiment, the number of wallet addresses holding more than 10,000 BTC has surged high to reach a new yearly high. This significant rise in BTC wallet addresses shows that Bitcoin whales are confident in their digital asset holdings.
A 2020 high of 111 wallets
As per a Tweet by Santiment on the 11th of November, the number of Bitcoin wallet addresses having 10,000 or more has reached a yearly high of 111. In addition to this, those wallet addresses which have Bitcoin holdings ranging from 10,000 BTC to 9,999 BTC are also on the verge to reach a new all-time high and are just 6 number away from the ATH of 2135.
Santiment also shared a chart in the tweet which clearly shows the growth in Bitcoin wallet addresses with 10k BTC.
At the current price value of Bitcoin that stands at around $15,804, the amount of 10,000 BTC is worth approximately $157, 233,000.
Bitcoin is trading in the bullish territory
While on the other hand, the world’s largest digital currency in terms of market capitalization Bitcoin (BTC) has recorded its three-year high by hitting above $16,000. As per data from the cryptocurrency charting site Trading View, the price value of the top-ranked digital currency spiked high on the 11th of November on the major cryptocurrency exchange Gemini and reached the $16,000 figure with a price surge of nearly four percent.
However, after that, the leading digital currency has slightly corrected itself and has moved down to the level of $15,800. Despite the correction, Bitcoin is in bullish territory. At the press time, the price value of BTC is up by approximately 2 percent in the last 24 hours while it is up by over 8 percent during the last seven days.
